On Monday, June 3, 2019, Eye Central and Rocketship Public Schools partnered together for what will be the first of many exclusive examination events.

Eye Central closed their office to the public for the entire day to provide comprehensive examinations to 44 Rocketeers, ranging from kindergarten through fourth grade, and, if needed, providing two free pair of eyeglasses for each student requiring vision correction!

After vision screening Rocketeers from the Rise and Legacy Prep Schools in Washington, D.C., Rocketship determined that more than half of the students required vision correction. Because most of these students do not have health insurance or the means to purchase corrective eyewear, with the help and support of the Rales Foundation who supports schools throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area, Eye Central was able to provide these students with industry leading optometry services and vision care products free of charge.

Eye Central has locations in Washington D.C. and in Mclean, VA and is extremely proud of this newly formed partnership with Rocketship Public Schools and the Rales Foundation and is excited to host more of these events in the near future!
